Did you know that a staggering 79 percent of consumers can’t find the personnel they need while shopping in a store? Even worse, about half of these unhappy consumers will stop frequenting a shop after a poor in-store experience.

Those numbers are findings from a study, but how well do you know your customers?

At the upcoming National Retail Federation’s convention (NRF), we will premiere our new terminal device PS.C1 to unlock highly accurate demographic analysis capacities. In combination with an IP camera, the PS.C1 can analyze anonymous data to determine the number of people in the visible area, as well as their age and gender. Thanks to state-of-the-art AI analysis, the PS.C1 enables complex evaluations in real time – all in compliance with current data protection regulations.

And there is more: Our well-established APS-90E and APS-180E now come with a shopping group recognition feature as well as the ability to determine the number of shopping carts within the monitored area.

Another addition to our people sensing portfolio, the new IoT platform provides straightforward access to the data collected by your people counters. The PS.Platform’s data visualization feature breaks down complex data into clear representations, providing insights at a glance. The platform also offers remote configuration and monitoring of connected counting devices and can be easily integrated with your existing analysis platform.

Both the PS.Platform and PS.C1 leverage deep learning technology obtained through the recent acquisition of the start-up company Pyramics and mark another milestone in strengthening HELLA Aglaia’s leadership in people counting.

Since we would rather show than tell, make sure to visit us in New York City in January. Our customer journey showcase awaits you at booth #658, Level 1 – we look forward to seeing you!
